摘要
Glass bottle is produced by introducing a parison contg. a central bubble into a blow mould. The height of the parison is less than 75% of that of the blow mould cavity. The bottom of the parison is gripped, and the parison is stretched to a position close to the base of the mould cavity. The gripping mechanism is then released and the bottom of the parison is reheated. The parison is expanded to fill the mould and the blown bottle is removed from the mould. The parison may also be partially expanded during stretching by introducing air into the central bubble. A shorter parison is used, saving on the amt. of glass and energy required. The process can use shorter parisons without the need for long remelt and running times, and the appts. is adapted for conventional machinery.
