OPENING AND CLOSING DEVICE OF TOP COVER IN DUMP TRUCK

PURPOSE:To prevent a top cover opening and closing device from obstructing the way of dumping at side discharge dumping operation in the captioned top cover opening and closing device capable of operating discharge dumping from the side, by providing short shafts operated as the rotating center of a top cover main unit on the line of side swing doors of a loading bed. CONSTITUTION:Top cover main units 16 of this top cover opening and closing device 13 turnably covering the upper of a loading bed 1 are consisting of main and auxiliary frames 17, 18 and canvas 19, and mounted turnably to side swing doors 6 through short shafts 15. This short shaft 15 is rotatably supported by a pair of supporting members 14 welded to longitudinal top positions of the side swing door 6 while mounted by aligning an axial core of the shaft 15 to the rotating center of the door 6 at its dumping operation and can be rotated by the action of a driving gear 22. In this way, at discharge operation even from the side of the bed 1, dumping work can be performed without causing damage to the device 13.
