PURPOSE:To measure the flow rate of powder and granules easily with simple constitution by detecting the pressure drop in a transport line and detecting the flow rates of the pressurized gases in the position where said pressure drop is detected. CONSTITUTION:Pressure detectors 15, 15' are provided at the two separate points of a transport line 7 connected to a tank 1 to detect the pressure drop. Flow rate detectors 17, 18 which detect the flow rates of the gases in a pressurizing line 5 and a booster line 12 are provided. For example, the detection outputs P1 and P2 detected with pressure detectors 15, 15' are supplied to a differential operator 16, by which a differential output DELTAP=P1-P2 is obtained. The detection outputs Q1 and Q2 of the detectors 17, 18 are added with an addition operator 19 to obtain the flow rate output QG of the pressurized gas. The outputs DELTAP and QG are supplied to an operator 20 for the mass flow rate of powder and granules, whereby the mass flow rate dw/dt of only the powder and granules is measured.
