PURPOSE:To realize a microwave power synthesis circuit consisting of a few number of hybrid circuits and having the same functions as conventional circuits, by inserting a pi/2 phase shifter between either one of the 2nd and the 3rd terminals of a microwave branch circuit and a reflection type amplifier. CONSTITUTION:A signal incoming from a terminal 38-1 enters a terminal 39-2, and is returned from reflection type amplifiers 41, 42 through reflection, and because of the presence of a pi/2 phase shifter 45, the signal is returned to the terminal 39-2. Further, the signal also enters an inlet 40-1 with pi/2 phase shift and is returned to the inlet 40-1 with the presence of a pi/2 phase shifter 46 and reflection amplifiers 43, 44. As a result, the synthesized signal is outputted at a terminal 38-2. In constituting the power synthesis circuit for 2n-sets of amplifiers, convenional systems require 3.2n-1-2 sets of amplifiers, while this system requires only 2n-1 sets of amplifiers.
