METHOD AND JIG FOR CENTERING EMERGENCY STOPPING DEVICE OF ELEVATOR CAGE

PURPOSE:To simplify centering work without damaging other parts, by forming a centering jig engaging part in the main body of the emergency stopping device, engaging a notched groove provided on the central line of said body with a guide rail, and centering the emergency stopping device with respect to the guide rail. CONSTITUTION:When a guide shoe which is attached to the upper side of a cage frame 2 is slidden along the guide rail 10, a guide shoe 9 at the lower end side is not attached. Under this state, the cage frame 2 is made to be laterally moved by a hook. The centering jig 20 is engaged with the engaging part 19 at the upper surface of an upper plate 12a of the main body 12 of the emergency stopping device 11, in such a way that the jig 20 is inserted from a back side. Then the cage frame 2 is adjusted, and the centering jig 20 is pushed forward with the jig 20 being engaged with the engaging part 19. The tip notched groove 21 is coupled with a tooth part 10a of the guide rail 10. In this way, the center of the emergency stopping device 11 that is attached to the cage frame 2 is aligned with the vertical center line 0 of the guide rail 10. Thus the accurate centering with respect to the emergency stopping device 11 with respect to the guide rail 10 can be performed.
