PURPOSE:To execute a temperature rise test depending on copper loss with a test equipment of samll capacity, and small power consumption, by adjusting necessary AC voltage applied to a main circuit in a state that a machine to be tested is driven at a rated speed by a driving device, and flows a rated current to the main circuit. CONSTITUTION:An induction motor to be tested 1 is driven at a rated speed by a driving machine 3. In this state, through a synchronizing generator 6 driven by a DC motor 8, a transformer 4, etc., AC voltage for generating a rotating magnetic field of the same direction as the rotating direction of the motor 1 is applied to the main circuit of the motor 1 by lower frequency then rated frequency. As a result, by a variation of a slip state, impedance voltage of the main circuit is varied, and a rated current flows to the main circuit by applying lower voltage than rated voltage. By a system which executes a test by applying this lower voltage than rated voltage, a temperature rise test depend on copper loss can be executed by a test equipment of small capacity, and small power consumption.
