METHOD FOR LOADING SHORT PIPE TO BE PLATED ON INSIDE SURFACE INTO SUSPENSION CAGE, ITS SUSPENSION CAGE AND LOADING MEANS

PURPOSE:To load short pipes into steel suspension cages of a rectangular body mechanically, easily and surely by laying down the cages by opening the front faces, carrying the short pipes therein by using loading means having forks, and arraying the short pipes in the cages by means of grooved jigs. CONSTITUTION:A jig plate 3 with grooves 3a made of FRP is placed on the rear surface in the inside bottom of a steel suspension cage 2 disposed horizontally with its front face held open. Short pipes 1 for one step are passed horizontally onto the forks 11 of loading means 10 by 7 pieces each in 3 rows and are carried into the cage, where the short pipes are unloaded on the plate 3. The pipes 1 are pressed to the bottom surface of the cage 2 by rear backing means 18 to bring the power feed part not shown and the pipes 1 into tight contact with each other and the pipes 1 into tight contact with each other; thereafter the forks 1 are removed. An interposing jig plate 5 is placed on the pipes 1 and 21 pieces of the pipes 1 for the 2nd step are placed in the manner similar to the above thereon. After 42 pieces in total of the pipes 1 are loaded in the cage, a cover plate 4 having the similar grooves to those of the plate 3 is put on, and engaging parts 4a are engaged to the spring detaining pieces 6 of the cage 2.
