PURPOSE:To prevent generation of malodors and to save energy in a method for treatment of cattle dung by subjecting the urine in cattle dung to a methane fermentation or aerobic digestion treatment, recovering methane or the heat of fermentation and utilizing the same as an energy source. CONSTITUTION:The dung generated from a pig house 1 is dehydrated with a dehydrator 2, and is then introduced into a fermentation tank 3. The urine is fed from a urine cesspool 5 into a charging tank 6, where the urine is joined with the water from the dehydrator 2 and is heated. The heated urine is introduced into a methane fermentation tank 7, where the urine is subjected to methane fermentation under stirring by co-ejectin of gases. The gases methane generated here flows through a gas holder 8, a dehumidifier 9, and a desulfurizer 11 into a gas tank 12, and is used as fuel for an electric power generator 13 and a water heater 14, and supplies energy for the device. The waste liquid of fermentation is separated of SS with a settling tank 15 and a dehydration screen device 22, whereafter the liquid is concentrated in a multistage flash evaporator 17, a concentrating tank 19, etc. and is charged into the tank 3, where the liquid is subjected to the aerobic fermentation together with the dehydrated dung, etc. and composit is obtained.
