PURPOSE:To suppress the fluctuation in the pressure of a feed water pump at the time of the charp change in the consumed quantity of steam or the like, by connecting a main steam pipe with a pipe in which a backup steam source, a quick opening valve and a pressure regulating valve are provided in series with each other and by providing a control mechanism for them. CONSTITUTION:A pipe extending from a main steam source A is connected through a valve 21 to a steam turbine 7 which drives a feed water pump 10. A pipe extending from a backup steam source B and equipped with a quick opening valve 31 and a pressure regulating valve 23 is connected to the former pipe upstream to the valve 21. Since the main steam source A runs of steam soon after the occurrence of FCB, control is effected to supply steam from the backup steam source B to the valve 21 through the quick opening valve 31 and the pressure regulating valve 23.
