METHOD FOR RECEIVING COKE FROM COKE OVEN TO APPARATUS FOR TRANSPORTING RED-HOT COKE

PURPOSE:To reduce the ununiformity in the particle size distribution and the temperature distribution of coke in a coke quenching tower, by transferring the red-hot coke from the coke oven to the red-hot coke transporting apparatus while moving the apparatus properly to forward and backward. CONSTITUTION:The red-hot coke 3 pushed out of the coke oven 1 with the pusher 4 is transferred to the coke transporting apparatus which is moving forward or backward perpendicular to the pushing direction of the pusher 4. The reception of the coke during the forward motion and the reception during the backward motion are repeated in predetermined order, and the times of the reception during the forward motion in one cycle is made nearly equal to the times of the reception during the backward motion. The red-hot coke can be uniformly accumulated in the apparatus by this process.
