摘要

NEW MATERIAL:The asymmetric amide derivative of formulaI[R1 and R2 are alkyl, aryl, etc.; X is H or acyl of formula A-CO- (A is alkyl, alkenyl, etc.); * is asymmetric carbon; 1-(alpha-naphthyl)ethylamine contained as the amine component is optically active]. EXAMPLE:(+)-Mandelic acid (+)-1-(alpha-naphthyl)ethylamide. USE:The stationary phase of gas chormatography. Useful for the separation of enantiomer mixture of compounds having -NH- group, -CONH- group, -OH group, -CN group or -COO- group bonded to asymmetric carbon atom. It has wide working temperature range as the stationary phase (room temperature -200 deg.C) and high affinity to the wall of the column tube. PROCESS:The compound of formulaIis prepared by the amidation reaction of alpha- oxycarboxylic acid of formula II and (+) or (-)-1-(alpha-naphthyl)-ethylamine.
