RACK PINION STEERING GEAR WITH VARIABLE RATIO AND CUTTING OF ITS RACK GEAR

摘要

PURPOSE:To make small the inclining angle of rack rotation line by using a cutter with equal pitches while turning a rack shaft around its shaft and also moving it in its rack shaft direction. CONSTITUTION:When cutting the pitch gear with variable ratios by turning and moving a rack bar 1, teeti 14'...1' of equal pitches are cut on a rack rotation line (a). Then, when making a new rack rotation line (b) connected crossing points 1'...14' between lines drawn with helical angle alpha from points 21...34 on rack axis X corresponding to rack gears 1''...14'' and vertical lines from the points 1'...14', the inclining angle beta' of the new rack rotation line (b) is made much smaller than that beta of the rack rotation line (a).
