PROLONGED RELEASING METHOD OF DRUG AND PROLONGED RELEASE RESIN COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To prevent the decomposition, etc. of a drug, e.g. an insecticide, by the heat in molding and make the drug advantageously the prolonged release type, by curing a resin with electromagnetic waves, and controlling the release of the drug held by or coated with the resin. CONSTITUTION:The release of a drug selected from an insecticide, rodenticide, repellent, mothproofing agent, germicide, perfume, deodorant, medicine and synergist is controlled by irradiating a photosensitive resin selected from preferably polyester, acrylic, nylon, styrene, polyvinyl alcohol, epoxy, polyurethane and vinyl acetate, with electromagnetic waves, e.g. ultraviolet or electron rays (X- rays), to cure the resin, and making the drug held by or contained in the resin the prolonged release type. According to the method, the volatilization, blooming phenomenon and operability of the drug in molding is improved to give the excellent prolonged release effect of the drug.
