PURPOSE:To prevent the corrosion and stress corrosion cracking of stainless steel and to hinder their progress by spraying an Ni-Cr alloy contg. iron on the steel surface. CONSTITUTION:The surface of stainless steel is pretreated by shot or grit blasting to apply compressive stress and to roughen the surface. An Ni-Cr alloy contg. iron is then sprayed, and the pores are sealed with a sealing agent. The sprayed film has superior heat resistance, superior adhesive strength to the base metal and a superior buffer action to expansion and contraction, and is prevents the corrosion and stress corrosion cracking of the stainless steel and hinders their progress.
