Stabilised reagent for the detection of H2 O2 or of H2 O2 -forming systems based upon methylbenzothiazolone hydrazone or a derivative thereof as colour former and an aromatic amine capable of undergoing oxidative coupling therewith with colour development, containing buffer substance and peroxidase, characterised by a content of at least one substance from the group alkali metal ferrocyanide, chelate former and alkali metal azide as stabiliser, as well as optionally an oxidase.
