Containers made of molecularly oriented thermoplastic material feature at least one annular zone with a textured surface to make preferential contact with the surfaces of other containers in a common stack. To reduce cohesion between adjacent containers of e.g. polyester or polycarbonates or, esp. vinyl chloride copolymers. Applicable to containers having round, square or polygonal sections. Pref. each container features at least three such textured zones at regular intervals, one being near the base of the container, one near the neck of the container, and one at an intermediate level along the container. Pref. the zones are 5-50 mm wide and stand at least 0.05-2.
