The collapsible box comprises a base (10) of rectangular shape, having sides terminated by corners of the box. Four sides (11) are hinged to the sides of the base by wire ties (12) and extend between adjacent corners. The sides are foldable from a collapsed position in which they lie in or closely adjacent to the plane of the base to an erect position in which they extend transversely of the plane of the base. Corner posts are provided at the ends of the sides. Each component (13) has a cross-section in the shape of a right-angled isosceles triangle. The corner post components are so arranged that adjacent components cooperate to form corner posts when the sides are in an erect position.
