1517618 Liquid fuel burners MAX WEISHAUPT GmbH 16 Nov 1976 [1 Dec 1975] 47733/76 Heading F4T A liquid fuel burner comprises an atomizing nozzle 8, and an air tube 2, which has a conical end 5, a mixture distributor 10, having apertures 11, and a tubular member 13, and an adjustable swirler 18 for producing air turbulence during start-up in one position, and no turbulence in the running state, after distributor 10 has been heated-up. In the start-up position as shown at the top of Fig. 1, the air passes through swirler 18, and in the running state as shown at the bottom of Fig. 1, the swirler is withdrawn. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), swirler 18 is replaced by a sliding sleeve (31), which controls the air supply to slots (30), and a second air tube (23).
