In the method for the pressure-tight connection of a tube to a plug inserted into the tube, the end of the tube is forced into a preferably triangular annular groove in the plug. A radially projecting collar is formed on the plug next to the annular groove and the end of the tube is then pushed over the annular groove onto the plug until it rests against the collar. Finally, the collar together with the end of the tube is forced into the annular groove. The pressure-tight connection obtained is distinguished by the fact that the collar is produced as an integral part of the plug, the end of the tube being firmly enveloped both on the outside and on the inside and the resulting connection being sealed at two points.
