Process for producing salts of dioxide 1.1 - N - (2 - pyridyl) - 2 - methyl - 4 - hydroxy - 3 - benzotiazin 2H - 1.2 - carboxamide. Involves the reaction of the dioxide 1.1 - N - (2 - pyridyl) - 2 - methyl - 4 - hydroxy - 3 - benzotiazin 2H - 1.2 - carboxamide with ethylenediamine, monoethanolamine and diethanolamine, at least in equimolecular quantity of the base.The reaction is carried out in a protico polar Solvent, such as water or Methylene chloride at a temperature of between 20 and 100 C C. these compounds have applications as pharmacological agents antiarthritic drugs.
