ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE:The invention provides a tear-tape for attachment toa polymeric packaging film, the tape comprising athermoplastic polymeric substrate having on a surfacethereof a layer of a sealing resin comprising a blend ofan ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and a plasticizertherefor. The invention also provides a tearablepackaging film and a tearable film package employing theresin-plasticizer blend as an adhesive medium.Bonding between the tear-tape and a packaging filmsubstrate is enhanced by the presence of the plasticizer.
