ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREWhat is disclosed is a process for theproduction of microcapsules by forming an emulsionof an aqueous solution of a hydrophilic protein havingfree amino groups in a liquid which is substantiallynon-polar or which has a polarity less than that ofa 4:1 w/w mixture of cyclohexane and chloroform asthe continuous phase, and adding a solution of acompound capable of polymerizing with the protein inthe aqueous solution so that an interfacial polymerizationreaction occurs.
