The invention relates to a backstop for trait weapon such as ARC or crossbow made of a material allowing the insertion of the line without damaging it, comprising a receiving part plate-shaped with two large faces and narrow side surfaces and a removably received in a housing portion of the receiving portion, the removable portion consisting of at least one profile (18, 19) received in the housing which opens at its ends on the said side surfaces.
