Improved diffraction grating scanner, wherein anamorphic image technology is used to correct the scanning of curvature, scans in the plane, and the correction curvature of field, in order to provide improved resolution ratio, and increases one section of scanning. Substantially, the scanner system may include refraction or reflecting element, in round or ellipse cross section and toroidal reflector (20) and lens including cylindrical lens (13,15,36,38) and reflector (27,33,37,39). In addition, such system will generally include one or more spheric elements, and at least one cylindrical or annular element must be provided. The anamorphic image correction apparatus can be with mirror scanner, including polygon and through feed-in scanner and diffraction grating type scanner.
