The invention relates to a self-sealing, replaceable filter insert of paper, fibre nonwoven or the like, which is provided with a number of pulling loops, is folded in a zig-zag shape and can be discarded after use and which is provided only on the pure air side with conical spacers stuck in and is surrounded for sealing by a conical hat-shaped, integral, flangeable receiving frame which is perforated on the pure air side and whose flange edges are held sealed in a U-shaped profile frame by means of an elastic endless rubber ring, the profile frame with the filter insert forming a self-supporting wall-building filter-receiving element, which can be screwed to another such element, or used as such for incorporation in simple standard frames for pocket filter inserts.
