Screw filtering press with multiple stages for the extraction of juice from protein-containing plants, and carbohydrate-containing plants, comprising at least three press bodies of different design in series and in which simple adjustment of the speed of rotation of the screws in each body relative to one another makes it possible for near optimum separation conditions to be achieved, so as to obtain a solid phase whose dryness is greater than 45-50% and a juice containing less than 1 to 2% of dry material in suspension, irrespective of the material treated.
