Method for preparing binders for slurry, mortar and concrete

Prepn. of a hydraulic binder for use in a dispersion, a mortar of concrete, based on water/cement, is described in which, the primary material for the binder comprises at least 50 wt.% hydraulic material e.g. slag. or natural or technical pozzolana. Part of the hydraulic material is ground to a specific surface at least 40 m2/kg. 0.1-5 wt.% of at least one plastifier such as a sulphonated polyelectrolyte is added to the primary material. 0.5-8 wt.% of alkali(ne earth) hydroxide or alkali salt(carbonate) may be added to the prim. material as hardening regulator. The rate of setting is increased to that of rapid hardening concretes when alkaline accelerators are added.
