Antiinfilammatory compds. I (R1, R2=C1C6 alkyl, aryl; Y=H, Br; Z=H, methyl; Rl or R2methyl, if Z=H) were prepd. Tjus, 20g 9,11-epoxy-16-methyl-pregna-1,4-dien-17,21 ! diol-3,20-dion-17,21 dipropionate was refluxed with 2g p-toluene in 200mL isopropenyl acetate for 2 hrs. and neutralized with K-acetate. The resulting ext. was dissolved in 200mL ethanol and treated with 10g perchloryl fluoride at 0C for 16 hrs. to give 22g 6-fluoro-9,11-epoxy-16-methyl-pregna-1,4-diene-17,21-diol-3, 20-dione-17,21-dipropionate.
