The opening and window leaf tilting mechanism has adjusting linkage concealed in one window frame, a positioning arm sliding in a slot in one of the frames, and an actuating arm hinged to both. The hinge point (10) between actuating arm (9) and rod linkage (4) has a coupling device. - This device automatically couples the hinge end of this arm to the rod linkage, or provides a disengagement at every transition from idle thrust section of travel to operative thrust section, or vice-versa.
