Electrode unit comprising three electron beam generating systems - having common convergence electrode sealed by melting flaps to three electrodes at same positive potential
Electrode unit comprising three electron beam generating systems - having common convergence electrode sealed by melting flaps to three electrodes at same positive potential
The electrodes are fixed to at least two glass struts by means of melting and sealing flaps. A convergence electrode is assigned to all three electron beam generating systems for independently influencing them. This conveyance electrode is closely fixed next to three electrodes of the systems lying at a common positive potential. It is in fact fixed to these electrodes by means of at least two fixing flaps and is at the same potential. - The fixing flaps (7) for the convergence electrode (1) are joined to the sealing flaps (6) of the neighbouring positive electrodes (5). By virtue of the nature of the material used for these flaps (7) and/or their cross-section their resistance to bending is less than that of the sealing flaps (6). This method of fixing the convergence electrode ensures that it does not alter the position of the positive electrodes due, e.g to mechanical tension. PS
