The invention relates to fully lined disc brakes with a brake housing which is open to the outside, with mechanical application and a hydraulic or pneumatic actuating device lying outside the housing, and has the object of improving the application efficiency and of facilitating installation and removal as well as the exchange of the wearing parts. For this purpose, the brake has an application device composed of three rings, the central ring being connected on one side via oblique tracks and actuating rolling members to an outer ring, likewise equipped with oblique tracks, and, on the opposite side, via smooth tracks and supporting rolling members to the other outer ring of the application device. For the application of the brake, the central ring has a toothed sector which projects sufficiently far beyond the outer contour of the brake that axial pulling-off can take place without dismantling the actuating device seated on the outside.
