A process for obtaining lipophilic metabolic products from suspension cultures of live plant cells

A process for culturing suspensions of plant cells for accumulating and obtaining lipophilic metabolic products of the plant cells is characterised in that a two-phase culture medium which consists of an aqueous nutrient solution and a non-toxic lipophilic phase in which the lipophilic metabolic products of the plant cells accumulate during the culturing is used.
