A process and a device are described for binding framed slides to give a joined carrier belt for photographic laboratories. A carrier belt for framed slides is known which is provided with empty pockets, into which the slides must be subsequently introduced by hand. Such a carrier belt has the disadvantage that inserting the slides is very time-consuming. It is the aim of the invention to create a carrier belt of a type such that the slides are incorporated during the production process of the carrier belt in the same operation. The aim is achieved by creating a process in which the slides are introduced between pairs of binding belts guided at a distance from each other and then the upper binding belts positively enclosing the slide, are sealed to the lower binding belts at sites situated between the slides.
