The heat-recovery installation has two gas/water heat exchangers (12, 19). One heat exchanger (19) is connected into the combustion air line (17) of the boiler (1) on the gas-side. The second heat exchanger (12) is connected into the flue gas line (11, 13) of the boiler (1) on the gas-side. In the case of the first heat exchanger (19), the water supply line (21) is connected to the water part (2) and the water removal line (28) to the water supply line (29) of the second heat exchanger (12). In the case of the second heat exchanger, the water removal line (31) is connected to the boiler (11). Connected into the connection line (22) for the water is a circulating pump (27) and a control member (23) which influences the flow quantity of the water. The control member receives its control commands from a temperature sensor (26) which is arranged in the combustion air line (17) between the heat exchanger (19) and the burner (8) of the boiler (1). By virtue of this heat-recovery installation, the overall degree of efficiency of the boiler can be improved with relatively low constructional outlay.
