Deformable seal for the gap between an opening in a building and a vehicle drawn up to said opening

In the seals, there is situated between a downwardly open U-shaped frame for mounting a deformable apron on the one hand and the building on the other hand a cover which is distorted by, due to its being articulated on guide bars, being subjected to a slight lifting movement when the apron is struck by a vehicle. In order to eliminate disadvantageous deformations of the cover, the edge of the cover facing the building is guided height-adjustably. To prevent the apron from being deflected when it has been very slightly deformed, and its sealing action is thus diminished, the edges of the cover can be displaced upwards only against the action of a tension spring which, advantageously, is intended to act on the guide bars and/or the U-shaped frame.
