The invention relates to a series of cutting machines of the same type and different size for the cyclic standard machining of workpieces, with a lifting table accommodating the workpieces as well as a working platform carried by four columns and accommodating the working tools, in which arrangement in each case a bracket guided in the columns acts on the lifting table and moves the latter by means of a lifting device from the waiting position into the working position and back again into the waiting position. The lifting table and the working platform are composed of individual standardised basic components, which can be screwed to one another, in such a way that the lifting table and the working platform can be varied for different workpieces. Likewise, the four columns, which are screwed to the working platform, can be displaced laterally in the longitudinal direction and thus the width can be adapted to the respective workpiece. When a certain cutting machine is no longer required, the individual standardised basic components can be used again and assembled to form another cutting machine of different size.
