The invention relates to a maritime emergency radio buoy, provided with a conversation/sound recording device (functionally similar to a flight recorder/voice recorder) which is operated without cables or wires from a transmitting system installed on the ship. The purpose of the invention is to record the spoken word on the bridge of a ship either for the entire duration of the trip or only when an accident occurs, in order subsequently to clarify the cause of the accident, or to be able to reproduce the accident, independently of the result of the accident, particularly in the case of accidents with total loss, or even just for clarifying the question of guilt in the case of collisions.
