A method for the production of diarylmethane derivatives, dibenzyl - 2 - carboxylic acids and in 3 - position substituted -phthalides as well as resulting newly benzyl derivatives

A process in which, depending on the reaction procedure, dibenzyl-2-carboxylic acids or phthalides substituted by a substituted or unsubstituted benzyl radical are obtained. Some of the compounds prepared by the process were previously unknown.
