The invention relates to a coin-checking device for the reception and testing of different coins and for clearing the device for the dispensing of products when the number of coins inserted in coin-operated machines is correct. The coin-checking device consists of a carrier plate which extends in a vertical arrangement between a front wall and a rear wall, a coin-testing plate being arranged pivotably at least on one side of the carrier plate and parallel to this. The coin-testing plate is followed in parallel with the carrier plate by a coin-channel plate having inclined slots, through which project the inclined anglings, forming the running floors of the coins, of a lower plate which is likewise arranged parallel to the carrier plate and pivotably. Furthermore, there is a sensing and blocking mechanism which consists of a plurality of pivotably and vertically arranged spring-loaded levers having, at their lower ends, bolts which project through the inclined slots of the coin-channel plate and which are connected operatively to a blocking lever, for the release or blocking of a control strip controlling the opening function of the dispensing plate of the coin-operated machine.
