Method for a device with which different operational processes, supplemented by test routines with a fault printout, are effected, in particular for a traffic simulation device in telephone switching installations
The method is based on operational processes in which individual test functions are initiated during specific process phases. An identified fault can be logged by means of the printout provided by a connected printing device. To ensure that the log remains clear, a printout is effected only when the fault changes, starting with the first fault which occurs during the evaluation period. In this way a clear fault log is produced even in cases where the same fault constantly occurs over a relatively long period. At the same time, paper consumption is substantially restricted. Since a printout produced only in the event of a fault change provides no information on the actual number of faults which have occurred, an additional quality count is advisable. A fault count can also be carried out for the individual types of operational processes, broken down according to the possible fault types. This specific information is particularly advantageous in a traffic simulation device (VSE) by means of which, with the aid of subscriber simulations using a telephone system (VST) which is to be assessed, calls are set up and disconnected and the response of the telephone system is checked with respect to different parameters.
