Reactive power regulator for power supply alternator - has monostable circuit control relays, themselves controlled by monitoring circuits

The reactive power regulator is of the type which has an electronic circuit which processes a different signal obtained from the measured reactive power and a set signal level. A secondary regulator supplied with this difference signal produces a regulation signal. An auxiliary motor acts on the principal regulator servo potentiometer of the alternator as a function of the regulation signal. The secondary regulator has an integrating circuit which receives the difference signal as supplies, as a function of the signal sign, one or other of two monostable switches. Each of the two monostable switches controls a relay which connect the auxiliary motor to its supply source. The relays are supplied under the control of a number of supervisory switches each corresponding to a determined function.
