A diuretically active pharmacological composition which comprises 4-chloro-N-furfuryl-5-sulfamoylanthranilic acid (furosemide) together with at least one compound of formula (I) IMAGE (I) wherein R is a hydrophilic radical, capable of increasing the water solubility of the resulting compound together with a suitable pharmacological carrier.
