The safety net for people working on construction sites comprises a safety net supported by uprights secured to brackets attached removably to the wall. The brackets comprise an elongate element one end (8) of which passes through masonry joints in the wall and is immobilised by a pin passing through the slot (13) and the other end of which carries a formed part (9) to retain the uprights. A central part of the element carries a perpendicular stop plate (7) which, in use, bears against the surface of the wall.
