The refrigerator freezer compartment has, mounted on the back of the compartment door, an open tray (1) for stocking ice cubes (2), and a detachable container (13) which can be filled with ice cubes and used at the table as an ice bucket. The ice bucket is smooth walled cuboid container which fits into a holder (12) comprising two side walls (25) as part of the freezer compartment door lining (11) and a wire frame (30) sprung into holes in the two side walls (25). The ice bucket is of similar capacity to the open tray (1). The ice bucket lid has moulded in finger grips (21,22) for easy lid removal, and is manufactured from a tinted transparentplasticsmaterial.
