摘要
Lubricant contg solid additives is uniformly sprayed onto metal working surfaces of heated dies in a forging press after heating the lubricant to approx 170 deg to 300 deg F to reduce its viscosity to approx 1.0 centipoise. A constant vol of lubricant is continuously recirculated at approx 30 to 70 p.s.i and a temp of 170 to 300 deg F from a heat source to a spray nozzle. The lubricant is hydraulically atomised and directed via the nozzle onto the metal working surfaces. Useful for lubricating dies of a forging press and rolls in a rolling mill. A uniform coating of lubricant is obtained without requiring high velocity air. Spraying nozzles do not become clogged and low hydraulic pressure is used. Metal is prevented from sticking to metal working surfaces and so increases the life of the dies or rolls.
