The electrically propelled vehicle uses a battery supplied d.c. motor. The motor shaft is linked to the front shaft of the vehicle via a reduction gear. The vehicle contains a second battery which can be switched in. The system uses the inertia of the electric motor when braking. The vehicle is equipped with an a.c. dynamo coupled to the d.c. motor (4). The motor supplies a charge to the battery when braking. This is achieved by using the mass moment of inertia of the rotating shaft. This also increases the braking effect of the vehicle. There is a second a.c. dynamo which absorbs all the energy of the air displaced by the forward motion of the vehicle. There is also a third a.c. dynamo coupled to a diesel engine.
