Connecting system for switching in telecommunications exchange - uses distribution units to define connecting algorithms into switching matrices

Time switching circuits are grouped in symmetrical pairs and are connected to switching matrices of the firs spacial stage. The matrices of the second spacial stage are similarly connected to time switching circuits. Distribution units define the connecting algorithms for the various connections. Hardwired connections for these units connect to the switching circuits to eliminate risks of a blockage and hence the rejected calls due to unbalanced traffic flow. All the groups of switching circuits connected to a matrix are connected to the same position, to make all the branches identical. The corresp. branch in each group of branches is controlled by the same memory.
