The vehicle includes front and rear shells, linked together by armoured panels. The two shells are identical, each being equipped with driving wheels and steering wheels anda heat engine. This is linked in each case to a hydraulic or electric generator driving motors mounted on the wheels. The two generators are connected to the motor by a distribution system which allows them to be operated from one or the other of the two engines, or from both the engines. The gun turret is mounted above the central section which links the two part shells together. The shells are configured such that their external faces present an inclination of approximately 60 degrees. Strengthening members may be applied to the outer surface of shells. The intermediate space between the shell and strengthening members may be used to have the cooling unit for the motor and hydraulic circuits.
