The muff (10) is interposed between the clutch drive and the clutch coupler (12) and it has a shouldered annular piece (16) which can slide on a carrying sheath (11) and which extends in a radial direction. The muff has a friction ring (38) rotatably driven by the shouldered piece and interposed between it and another muff ring (24). The friction ring cooperates with the front surface (39) of this other muff ring that is directed towards the shouldered piece. It is made of deformable elastomeric material with a high coefficient of friction and connects the two pieces in rotation.
