Salopette garment with partially elasticated side panels - to adapt discretely to different torso forms

Salopette style garment pattern has a pair of partially elasticated lateral flaps which can be coupled by e.g. a sliding clasp fastener and then concealed by an ancillary flap panel. Pref. relationships of the relative widths and locations of the root and free ends of the lateral panels and of the base of the flap are given. Used esp. by ladies, to adapt symmetrically to torso of differing proportions with or without the effects of other garments. Pref. the elastic effect is provided by twin tapes stitched in position along the upper part of each of the lateral flaps respectively.
